In light of the recent Government announcements on Coronavirus, COVID-19. I would like to update you on the plans we have been proactively working on to confront this issue and to ensure that we can remain open for business. The impact that this virus is having on our business is broadly in three areas:
- Our supply chain, which is primarily UK based but there are overseas suppliers further down the line;
- Our staff welfare;
- The impact on our customers.
Defined strategies to reduce the likely impact the virus will have as it stands today have been set, we remain capable to deliver the vast majority of our customers’ requirements without interruption.
For the welfare of our staff, and customers, we continue to monitor the situation closely; we are following the advice given by the Government and the NHS, including the usual advice regarding cleaning regimes, hand washing and reducing physical contact. As with many trades we understand the needs of our customers and will endeavour to provide all our services to satisfy demand. Fortunately to date we have not had any cases of Coronavirus reported among our workforce, but we are taking a number of precautions, which include preparations for remote working where appropriate. We are operating at normal staffing levels; and we have a comprehensive staff welfare contingency plan in place should it be needed.
